Being able to see clearly is one of the most important aspects of driving. Cracks in the windshield can be distracting and dangerous. Let’s get you in peak visual condition.

Windshield replacement STEPS we take to ensure our KNOCKOUT guarantee every time.

1. Preparation & Safety

We Park the vehicle in a controlled environment, in a shaded area. Then we Protect the car’s interior and exterior by covering the dashboard and seats.

2. Remove Old Windshield

Detach wipers and trim: Carefully remove windshield wipers, cowl panel, and any moldings or clips. Cut the urethane seal: Use a cold knife, wire, or power tool to cut through the old adhesive around the windshield. Lift out the windshield: Use suction cups to carefully remove the old glass without damaging the frame.

3. Prepare the surface

Clean the pinch weld: Remove any old urethane, dirt, or debris to ensure a proper bond. Check for rust or damage: Treat any rust with primer and let it dry before proceeding. Apply new primer: Use an appropriate primer on the pinch weld and the new windshield (if required by the adhesive manufacturer).

We ALWAYS check for rust or damage!

4. Apply New Adhesive

All Urethane isn’t created equal. We use the best and manufactured recommended 100% of the time. We Apply a uniform bead: Using a caulking gun to apply a continuous, even bead of urethane along the pinch weld.

5. Install New Windshield

Carefully position the glass: Use suction cups or another handling method to place the windshield precisely. Press firmly: Ensure full contact between the glass and the urethane for a secure fit. Reinstall moldings and clips: If the vehicle has trim or clips, reinstall them as needed.

6. Cure Time & Finishing Touches

Allow time for curing: Follow the adhesive manufacturer’s recommended safe drive-away time. Reinstall wipers and cowl panel: Once the adhesive has cured sufficiently, put everything back in place.Clean the glass: Remove any excess adhesive and clean the windshield thoroughly.
